I work with watercolors, pastels, oils, and various print mediums, allowing the subject matter to guide my choice of medium. Watercolors appeal to me for their translucency and quick drying time, pastels for their rich, atmospheric quality, and oils for their versatility and textured depth.
I draw profound inspiration from nature, with walks in the woods being my favorite pastime. In the forest, I collect mushrooms, discover painting subjects, and enjoy the fresh air. My creative process is deeply influenced by the places and objects around me—as well as the companionship of my pets.
I studied at the Art Students League of New York, studied Fine Arts at Montclair State University, and pursued knitwear design at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).
When I’m not painting, I work as a knitwear designer and tailor for Broadway, TV, and film productions in and around New York City.
